This book is a learning guide and reference for KiCad. All examples, descriptions, and procedures are tested on the stable release of KiCad 8. I tested them in March 2023 using KiCad 8.0.1 on Mac OS. I also wrote a comprehensive review of KiCad 8, which you can find on the Tech Explorations website. This book is composed of two volumes to make it easier for me to manage and for you to read. Volume 1 contains the introductory content and is suitable for readers with little or no experience in PCB design. Volume 2 includes projects of increasing complexity and is ideal for readers with a basic working knowledge of KiCad and who have completed the introductory projects in Volume 1.
